Busy weekend coming up...

Hopefully we are going north to meet up with our friends Brian and Kristy and hang out for awhile and grab some Hooters. Its been awhile since we have been out of the house just to go hang out and take a break. Saturday we are going down to Carl Caspers Auto Show so I can cover the show for Gauge Magazine. Hoping to make some contacts and set up some shoots for this spring. Saturday Night once we get back we are heading up to shoot a showcase of four bands at a local bar. I have been getting good word of mouth thru the bands from doing this and hope it will lead to some more work. Hopefully next weekend wont be as busy...lol

Valentines Day.....

So its Valentines Day, what did you get your significant other? Right now I am waiting on one of Jeannie's presents I ordered for her to get here...probably going to be a day or so late, but its all good since I got her a Coach eyeglass case and some flowers already. I got my gift from her today...a new to me 70-210 f4 lens. This lens is awesome for being 20 years old...I love the push pull design and I am amazed at how fast the 1st gen AF motor is in it...a little noisier than the nifty fifty, but a lot better AF than the fifty has...I think I am going to get some really awesome images with this lens..only bad thing is I dont want to take it off my 30D now...lol anyone want to buy me another body...lol

Why photographers charge so much....

Why are Professional Photographers so expensive? This article has been very well received by the photography community, and is published in the December 2009 edition of Professional Photographer Magazine. In this digital age where everyone has cameras, scanners, and home "photo printers," we hear this all the time: How do professional (or personal) photographers charge $X for an 8x10 when they cost just $1.50 at the drugstore? Been busy....

Sorry for not posting very much lately. Not a ton of stuff going on photography wise, but a lot going on elsewhere. Jeannie had a to be admitted to the hospital Thursday night, she had been having problems all day with her blood sugar levels and felt pretty lousy. So I took her to the ER and they diagnosed her with high blood sugar and low potassium. She wasn't released until Sunday morning so its been a lot of running back and forh from the hospital to the house and back. She is fine now and back to normal. Matter of fact the Dr. took her off her blood pressure meds and reduced her diabetes meds. So actually she is better now than before the hospital. Another thing going on right now is this ginormous winter storm just north of here. We got lucky and are just south of the freezing line and missed out on all the mess. But just 50 miles north the weather is terrible. some places seeing an inch and a half of ice and even farther north they are getting 12-16 inches of snow. This has b...
