**Capturing Moments: A Year in Review and Exciting Plans for 2024**

๐Ÿ“ธ **Capturing Moments, Creating Memories: A Year in Reflection**

Happy Holidays, dear readers! As 2023 bids us farewell, I find myself pausing to reflect on the incredible journey this year has been. To all our wonderful clients, thank you for entrusting me with your precious momentsโ€”it has been an honor capturing the essence of your stories through my lens.

This year has been a whirlwind of challenges and triumphs, as I navigated the delicate dance between running my photography business, pursuing further education, and stepping into a new role as an instructor at Ivy Tech Community College. Balancing these facets of my life alongside personal endeavors tested my resilience, but I'm proud to say that I faced these challenges head-on, emerging not only as a better person but also as a more refined and evolved photographer.

๐ŸŒŸ **Striking the Balance: Juggling Passion and Responsibility**

The delicate balance between personal and professional commitments has been a demanding yet rewarding journey. From freezing moments in time to inspiring the next generation of photographers in the classroom, each experience has contributed to my growth. As I close the chapter on 2023, I'm filled with gratitude for the lessons learned and the connections forged.

๐Ÿ“š **A New Chapter Awaits: Pursuing a Masters of Art in Art and Design**

Looking ahead to 2024, I am thrilled to announce my pursuit of a Masters of Art in Art and Design. The prospect of delving deeper into my craft and expanding my knowledge is both exciting and humbling. I embark on this academic journey with the goal of enhancing my skills and, in turn, elevating the experience I provide to my valued clients.

๐Ÿค **Growing Together: Expanding RB Photo and Design**

In the spirit of growth, I am excited to share my plans for expanding RB Photo and Design. To better serve my clients and capture even more special moments, I am on the lookout for a talented second photographer to join my team. If you are based in the Southern Indiana area and share a passion for photography, I invite you to consider joining this incredible journey.

Its crazy...

I know this is supposed to be my photography blog, but I have been to pre occupied with the loss of my bestest pal to do much shooting. Today I was out in the yard with Bella, our other chihuahua, and the neighbors came out and asked about Charlie.  They were upset that he didn't make it. They told me how he made their day when he was outside and would bark at them.

How much to charge.....

This is something I have been struggling with ever since I decided to start charging for my work. Especially since the area I live in is not one of the wealthiest areas in the state. I recently have been watching Jasmine Star on www.creativelive.com and she gave a lot of insight on how to build up a successful wedding business. She also mentioned a forum she frequented whn she was starting out, www.opensourcephoto.net While I was on that site I discovered a link to "The Greatest Pricing Guide Ever" As the name suggests its a guide to helping you establish your pricing. I haven't read it all the way thru yet, but what I have read of it, its awesome! I highly suggest taking a look at it if you are having problems with your pricing. You can find it here....
