My Journey at Imaging USA 2024

Hey fellow photography enthusiasts!

I'm still buzzing with excitement from my incredible experience at Imaging USA 2024, hosted by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). This past weekend was an absolute whirlwind of inspiration, education, and sheer photographic magic. As a first-timer at a major photography expo, I was blown away by the sheer scale and depth of what this event had to offer.

Imagine stepping into a world where creativity knows no bounds, where every corner holds a new opportunity to learn and grow as a photographer. That's exactly what Imaging USA 2024 delivered, and then some.

One of the highlights for me was the chance to rub shoulders with some of the industry's brightest stars. Meeting legends like Joe McNally, Seth Miranda, Daniel Norton, and Sal Concotta was an absolute dream come true. Their insights, passion, and wealth of knowledge left me in awe and inspired me to push the boundaries of my own creativity.

But it wasn't just about star-studded encounters; Imaging USA 2024 was packed with hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and classes that covered everything from lighting techniques to mastering the art of portrait and wedding photography. I soaked up as much knowledge as I could, eager to apply it to my own work and take my skills to the next level.

The energy at the expo was palpable, with fellow photographers from all walks of life coming together to share their experiences, exchange ideas, and forge new connections. Whether I was chatting with seasoned pros or fellow newcomers like myself, there was a sense of camaraderie and passion that filled the air.

As I reflect on my time at Imaging USA 2024, I'm filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible community. The memories I've made and the lessons I've learned will stay with me for a lifetime, fueling my passion for photography and inspiring me to continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible behind the lens.

If you've never been to Imaging USA before, I can't recommend it enough. It's more than just a photography expo; it's a transformative experience that will ignite your creativity, expand your skills, and connect you with a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for capturing moments in time.

Enjoy the pictures from the show and until next time, keep shooting and never stop exploring the endless possibilities of photography!

Its crazy...

I know this is supposed to be my photography blog, but I have been to pre occupied with the loss of my bestest pal to do much shooting. Today I was out in the yard with Bella, our other chihuahua, and the neighbors came out and asked about Charlie.  They were upset that he didn't make it. They told me how he made their day when he was outside and would bark at them.

Balancing these facets of my life alongside personal endeavors tested my resilience, but I'm proud to say that I faced these challenges head-on, emerging not only as a better person but also as a more refined and evolved photographer. 🌟 **Striking the Balance: Juggling Passion and Responsibility** The delicate balance between personal and professional commitments has been a demanding yet rew...

How much to charge.....

This is something I have been struggling with ever since I decided to start charging for my work. Especially since the area I live in is not one of the wealthiest areas in the state. I recently have been watching Jasmine Star on www.creativelive.com and she gave a lot of insight on how to build up a successful wedding business. She also mentioned a forum she frequented whn she was starting out, www.opensourcephoto.net While I was on that site I discovered a link to "The Greatest Pricing Guide Ever" As the name suggests its a guide to helping you establish your pricing. I haven't read it all the way thru yet, but what I have read of it, its awesome! I highly suggest taking a look at it if you are having problems with your pricing. You can find it here....
